Itea Greece

Well we're currently in Delfi Greece, on the Corinth Sea. Once we got out of dumpy Patras (port town) things have been on the up and up.

Greece is absolutely fantastic! potentially the best place we've been. the people are very friendly, the sights beautiful, nice weather, and did i mention its beautiful? 360 degree panaromas from around every bend..... oceans, mountains, olives, ruins, etc.

since Patras (arrival from Italy and 2-days of rain) we've had one big cycling day then spent 2 days on the beach, snorkeling, drinking wine, and eating baklava at a town called Itea... right below Delfi. now we're in delfi, saw the ruins yesterday, hiked way up the big mountain today (Parneaus, they ski there in the winter). We've had baklava every day and gyros too! tomorrow we'll head towards Athens. I imagine we'll make it 1/2 way there. once we get to Athens we'll spend a couple days then ferry to Santorini and or Crete. if the weather holds it will be fantastic. currently i'm drinking a beer in a bar overlooking the ocean with free wifi. not too shabby!

2nd longest cable suspended bridge in the world. crossed it in a huge side wind... maybe 30 knots plus. scary!

It's all Greek to me
