We both gained weight!!!! Apparently we sampled plenty of good food along the way!
however, we've been home almost a week and we're back down to normal already.
Tour de Wacksman!

Heading home! Athens Greece to Portland Maine
Well sadly the trip is over! had to go back to reality some day. Below are some pictures from the travel home from Athens Greece all the way to Portland Maine, USA
Packing the bikes in the park across from Top Cycles in Athens Greece
John from the bike shop was unbelievable! He gave us boxes, helped me pack up the bikes, treated us to a fantastic lunch, and delivered us to the train station. Incredible hospitality!
Done!
And away we go... a train ride directly to the airport.
We slept in the airport as we had to be there at 4 am to catch our flight. Pretty horrible sleeping with the loud elevator music, flies, and bright lights!
After a night in Boston we came home to Portland. Patch was more than happy to see Heather!
We had a whole laundry basket of mail waiting for us. mostly crap.
Time for a haircut!

great sunsets here
This is "Mister" a really great street dog. had it been easier to get him home, he'd be moving to Maine.

still in Greece... playing catch up - Delfi to Athens
Well we're still in Greece and are WAY behind in updating the blog. the reasons for this are many... the weather has been fantastic, we haven't had much internet, and I'm a little lazy. but, i'm going to add a few photos of the last week or two. I've placed many more pictures on picassa you can access here: http://picasaweb.google.com/wacksmans
on the way from Delfi we passed Mt. Parnassas, a downhill ski resort in Greece. who knew?
got out of the mountains in time for the cotton harvest!
Beautiful riding in Grece. Punishing mountains though!
We came through a mountain saddle in a national park right into Athens. beautiful riding!
started our day in Athens at the Acropolis
everyone else was at the Acropolis too!
the mountain range we came up and over to get into the city. does this qualify as urban sprawl?
